Looking at doing 114 years in prison for his active, or inactive, role as Bernard Madoff’s accountant, David Friehling (51) continues to work with the government on the Madoff investigation/recovery. Friehling, whose firm Friehling & Horowitz had intergalactic headquarters at the small office park of Georgetown Office Plaza in New City, NY, had not conducted a single audit of the Madoff books despite being paid about $14,000/month to certify that he had. Now, he’s actually doing some audit work for the government through his cooperation but is not being paid a dime….but at least he’s free awaiting sentencing!
